I hate when series end – when you get really into something and then you find out there is no more episodes. No more so that Have I Got News For You, which I didn’t usually watch until a few months ago when I realised it was actually the funniest thing on TV.
That’s a bold statement to make but one which I believe to be true. I watch too many sitcoms these days and find them fairly funny but I don’t laugh out loud. If I do, even with things like Friends, it is only a few times per episode. That’s not really that impressive.
Have I Got News For You was something special though. It kept me laughing all the way through; I couldn’t believe that it was so entertaining. This was something I had no experienced in a long time, at least as far as I could remember.
That said, I talk about it now, just after I have witnessed the last episode in the series. The slot will be filled up starting next Friday by a show hosted by Anne Robinson. I might check that one out just in case.
The message I am trying to make here is, don’t make the mistake I did. When the next series appears, grab hold of it with your Sky Plus Planner and don’t let it go, it’s one of the best shows on TV.
