Though the rumours long ago confirmed this, it's totally official now! George Lucas has agreed to write a 100 episode TV series set in the Star Wars universe.
Producer Rick McCullum commented "We're very excited, we just, we just got confirmation George Lucas has committed to writing the Star Wars TV series. I guess this is the news all fans have been waiting to hear."
Filming will begin in 2007.
